Well I just read gamerfeed's review of this little peripheral and I took note of this key paragraph:
Quote: What's left to consider is how the machine has the potential to increase in value over time if companies continue to use software that keeps it in mind. For example, Sword of Mana allows two players to play simultaneously on one television screen when the game recognizes it's being played on a GB Player. You'll simply need a second controller to fully enjoy it. Another instance is Final Fantasy Tactics Advance which incorporates three display modes in its options menu: GBA, GBA SP, and GB Player. All three change the values of the brightness, contrast, and saturation in very subtle ways as to fully take advantage of the system they're being played on. It's this kind of foresight and consideration that will ultimately reinforce the sheer dexterity and richness of the GB Player's life.
Now if companies (mainly Nintendo, Konami, Capcom, and Square) really take advantage of GB player specific abilities, then we could have more 2 player options like in Sword of Mana. Hell, maybe I'll get that game some day. It would be nice if it were incorporated into Advance Wars 2, but i guess it doesnt matter for a game like that because you can essentially play with 2 controllers already. By that I mean the GB player has the ability to recognize multiple controllers as if it were plugged into port 1. I hope I'm not confusing anyone. Hopefully I'll pick this up at work today, but originally it was supposed to be Wednesday... |

| Yes well i got rid of my GBA since i drive myself places and rarely use aeroplanes. The player works great and makes games more enjoyable with the use of the GC controller and more visibility. I dont see anything wrong with going back and playing SNES games, so using the GBA player to play new yet outdated graphicly games is ok in my book. |
