OK. I am fairly new to this whole Animal Crossing thing, and I can't seem to get the answers I am looking for at any other forums, because, well, some people are just plain rude. I know this is technically a 'trading forum' but maybe some of you will have a heart, and help me out! lol. thanks!
1. DO I really HAVE to have a game boy advance to go to the island? and if not, how do I go there?
2. I see things about people trading with other people on-line, how exactly does this work?
3. I have the biggest house you can get, (2 story, basement, etc..) this is NOT going to get any bigger correct?
4. Why cant I use certain furniture outside? I.e. boxing ring, pool, and stuff like that. Or can I?
5. When I have a universal code, and it tells me to tell it to a villager, how do I do that? Im assuming it is through mail, but when I tried it, they said they had no idea what I was talking about, and I know the code is right. Do I have to put any sort of symbol or something at the beginning of the letter?
6. When saving mail in the post office, can I also save items in the letters also? Kind of a cheaters way for extra storage?
7. It IS ok to take things from the police station that arent really mine? Or am I supposed to go around and find out if these belong to somebody? Am I going to get a backlash? Lol
8. When someone has posted on the bulletin board that they have buried something, i.e. a game or what not, do I have to dig all over the place? Because I cant for the life of me ever find a symbol
9. When I get letters from the HRA saying my place is filthy, and I need to clean it, simply picking the items up, and putting the back down does the trick correct? Or do I have to rearrange everything?
10. How exactly do I play these Nintendo games when I get them?? I have received two. Balloon fight, and Donkey Kong I believe, but I couldnt figure out what to do with them, so I gave them away. But when excitebike comes along, I want to be able to play it, because that game rocks!
Ok, I think these are all the questions I have for now, at least the pressing ones. Thanks for any and all help you can give me, I really, really appreciate it.

YOU GIVE YOUR NAME AND TOWN NAME CASE SENSITIVE
THEY TAKE THE NAME AND TOWN TO NOOK WITH THE ITEM AND NOOK GIVES YOU A CODE SEND THAT TO PERSON THE GO TO NOOKS AND GET ITEM

thank you so much for your help, the only one I have a 're-question' on is the one about the codes. I have one that I went to Nook for, and he said to tell a villager, so the only way I could figure out how to do that was to do it through the mail, and like I said, I got a letter back saying they had no idea what I was talking about, and that my letter didn't make sense.
So now, I'm confused again, and now, I wanna buy the game boy advanced.

When you send the universal code to an animal villager, the first line of your letter should be the key symbol. It's the button on top of "p" and right of ":".
The next two lines will be your code.
