This got released here like 2 days ago so I played it in the store. I played Ridge Racer and Street Fighter. It was pretty cool to be seeing 3D without glasses but the view area in which you can see the 3D is quite limited. You gotta hold your head and the 3DS pretty straight. The graphics for STF were pretty nice with or without the 3D and I found the joystick to work well which usually I have problems pulling off moves on hand held fighters.

That said I'm really not sure the 3D thing is gonna hold up long. I imagine it losing its thrill quite quickly. Game devolpers ar really gonna have to do something special with it. Personally I think Nintendo should have left it out and focus on something else like power or another gimmick. Along with the games at launch both here and in the States I really don't think it's something that need to be bought on day 1. I'm gonna wait it out myself, at least till I see a psp2 price point.

Of course I'm sure the games will eventually rock regardless so its something I definitely will keep interest in.

I need to check out a 3DS demo. Other than Avatar (which as a movie was just ok), 3D is cool but not OMG! amazing. Still the 3DS looks pretty cool, and the lineup is interesting. The big thing is I'm not paying $250 for this thing... Sure I paid $300 for my iPhone, but for some reason I can justify that much more easily. Probably because I use it all the time.

Wait what? Earthquake where? Sure hope everyone is ok.

I got a 3DS on the day it came out because we got an email at gamestop saying that after the first 2 initial shipments, there wouldn't be any until september. I figured I want some games coming out this summer (starfox and zelda) so I might as well just get it now. It's not like the price is going to drop before Kid Icarus comes out anyways...

It's a cool system, but I didn't buy any games with it. There's really nothing worth buying. Everyone tells me to get street fighter, but why the hell would I play it on a handheld when I have it on console with a stick? I AM playing Radiant Historia on my 3DS though. The analog nub thing is pretty nice (compared to the crappy psp one).

I'll probably pick up DOA next month.

I still need to stop by a Best Buy or somewhere to try this thing out.

Let me know when it gets beyond the launch window of nothing buy 10 year old game rehashes. Wait what, MGS3D is coming out? ... !

So does smoking pot. You failed to mention if that dizziness was a good or bad thing.

I'll await my answer when you pop up in another 4 months.
