I'm not sure what you're referring to but I'm definately going to have to go back and tweak the animation. Of course when (if) I put the sprites into the game, I'll fine tune the spacing between frames so it doesn't look so...fast.
I know I didn't address your comment at all but it gave me an excuse to say this. Thanks! |

| try standing in that position. like, actually contort your body to match the animation. it doesn't work. |

| I did. In front of a mirror. That's actually how I test all my animations. One of the legs really twists but it's not like she's standing still in that position. It's still one of my first sprite animations so it could definitely be better. |

right. the art and animation look fine. its just the perspective that's kinda zany.
why's everything have to be zany? |

I like my barbecue sauce to be zany...
Though there may be a point. I think her stance might be backwards. She's standing half facing her opponent when I'd think she'd want to be protecting herself by standing half away? (So her forward leading foot is in front of the other, if that makes any sense.) |

you know, i definitely typed a response to bone's reply. I remember typing it. I think sometimes I finish typing my post in Quick Reply and then completely forget to hit submit and move along. Damn.
I think I said something like if you're a good enough fighter, you don't NEED to protect yourself. Also I looked at Bridget from guilty gear because HIS stance is similar. |

| okay, i've figured out what the problem is. if we're assuming she's standing on a flat x-axis, her left foot should be in the foreground. the stance is still going to look awkward, but at least the perspective will be (mostly) corrected. |

| her left foot is in the background as she is standing at an angle. I do see what you're getting at though. It would make more sense with a background of some kind. Maybe someday I'll go back to making these sprites... |
