8 years? Wow... where has the time gone. What have I done in my life. What have I accomplished in all that time.
Those were the good old days... actually, thinking back I'm not sure how good they were. I wonder what might life would be like if I hadn't picked up a DC on that fateful day... |

let's examine...
1. buy dreamcast
2. wait for actual online games to come out, spending too much time in irc chat
3. make chat room and eventually a small community for the hell of it
4. make hideous websites for no reason
5. realize graphic design may be a good career move
6. go to college for digital art, get job at gamestop in MA
7. graduate college with new wonderful job opportunities.
8. continue to work at gamestop back at home in CT.
Now let's examine what would happen if I DIDNT buy a dreamcast...
1. get job at local gamestop.
2. have ridiculous amounts of raunchy sex with supermodels
3. continue to work at gamestop in CT

Missed this one a year ago. I guess if my parents hadn't bought me that dreamcast at the tender age of 13 I would've pursued that little skateboarding habit a little closer and might be...wearing girl jeans and listening to bands so underground they haven't even been formed yet? Score DC!
Instead much like Hybrid I'm pursuing gradschool, only I'm taking a year off to work on a state senate campagin, the GameStop of the political world! |

Yeah Tork, I don't see you helping. And what ever did become of TorkBoard? Why was it taken down? (Actually it's a bad time to answer that so don't...)
If you have programming skills I can get a nice bonus if I refer you to where I work.... but we make "boring" business software. While we have a lot of creative people, I don't think we have anyone with specifically for artistic skills. Sad.
Wait.... this is 08. That means next year is 09. ie 09.09.09... 10 years. Holy fucking shit....... I'm old. |
