Good to hear. I'm looking forward to it (and a number of other May releases). The new MGMT didn't do much for my hipster cred.
I also hope this isn't one of your tricks and tomorrow you'll respond with, well actually it's pretty fucking terrible. My frail self couldn't handle it. |

| Nah, this is the Real Deal. The back end of the album has a few misfires and the closer is kinda disappointing in comparison to Its All Gonna Break, but there are only three songs I actively avoid (and of them, only one is REALLY bad.) The rest of the album ranges from good to fucking incredible. Chase Scene, Texico Bitches and Meet Me In the Basement rank up there with BSS' best. |

They better be. That week should be sweet; New Pornographers, Hold Steady, and BSS? Awesome. Of course I'll be in NJ that week so I'll have to figure something out...
I see NPR is streaming BSS and Hold Steady. Since I know I'm getting those, I'll just wait and enjoy them then. |

That Shinobu song does kick ass too.
I still don't have the new BSS or Pornographers. The store in NYC wanted $20 for them. No. So I ordered them (and Hold Steady) off Amazon. Should be here in the next day or two. |

| I will say at least the first half of BSS and New Pornographers is excellent. (By the time the second half has come on my mind was occupied with stupid work related stuff...) I'll also throw in Broken Bells which I also really like. I got way too many CDs in a short span. I need to hold off a bit and enjoy these first. At least until the new Gaslight Anthem drops... |

Well, got soaking wet but saw a decent show from Cold War Kids and Weezer. Stuck between them was AFI, but I recognized a few songs from Guitar Hero!
Rivers was running all over the stage, but it was weird. He forgot the lyrics to Troublemaker. Kept having other band members sing songs. Enjoyable, and maybe it was the weather, but not as good a show as when I saw them 6 months ago.
Next is Summerfest with Modest Mouse, Tokyo Police Club, Passion Pit, Silversun Pickups, Hold Steady, and... |
