I could have sworn there was some justification to why you take them...
Well you only have a month until Bioshock 2 so hurry up! |

So I did manage to beat UC2 last weekend, but other than that. Yeah, haven't played anything really:( I don't think Bioshock will be done by then (not that I was planning on getting B2, but who knows since I haven't played the first one).
And I have to get all the treasures in UC2 of course... I only have like 35/100 now, but did manage to die/restart 130+ times in beating UC2! Damn good game. |

I think it is assumed that this is more of a "games we are playing" thread than "recently purchased" thread. I beat Dark Void on Friday and didn't play much else this weekend other than the usual SF4. I figured since Tuesday brings Mass Effect, I would just play some random stuff here and there.
I tried out Soul Reaver for the Dreamcast since last time I went to gamestop, some kid happened to leave his system and a stack of games. I grabbed that and Bass Fishing. I have pretty much every dreamcast game I need. Anyways, Soul Reaver must have been awesome when it came out 10 years ago but now I just can't stand the controls. I have a feeling it was really ahead of its time. It's a shame that NOW is not that time.
I popped Kirby's Dreamland 3 into my snes, thinking theres no way I could possibly hate a kirby game enough to not have beaten it. Yeah well, it's really not good. I just can't get over the slow pace, lame powers, NO HATS, complete abandoning of style, and overall bland levels. God what the hell happened.
After Kirby I put in some Tetris attack and figured I'd get in a half hour and move onto something else. An hour and a half later I finally decided to stop. I definately can't make combos nearly as easily as Puzzle League on DS. So fast. I still like the style of this over all of its many other incarnations.
Today I barely played anything. I popped in SF Alpha anthology just to remind myself how nerfed Sakura is in SF4. Oh well. I also played some other fighter on my computer that will remain nameless. That reminds me. I heard somewhere that the rom for Blazblue Continuum Shift was released recently. I bet its a LOT different than the first game. I'll definately be picking this up whenever it comes to consoles. |

Soul Reaver was awesome, at least back in the day...
My game playing has come to a complete halt over the past few weeks for the most part. It's a damn shame. I need to play through this backlog before I can ever think of getting another one. Though I don't think that's for quite some time.
Beat It! on iPhone is a cool little 'recreate these beats' puzzle-like game. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Stupid thing makes you use facebook to trade or download other user songs though... |

| Mass Effect 2 is amazing. I wish it wasn't so amazing because I'd really like to play No More Heroes 2. |

| I picked up Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii. It's similar to PSO in that you can make a group of 4 people and then choose quests and go on instanced missions. It's NOT like PSO in that it's medieval and it's actually fun playing alone. I haven't tried the online yet but I blame that mostly on it being on the Wii. I hated that PSU made you craft all your items and had no items drops, but Monster Hunter does it better. Inventory is very important because you actually don't level up at all. You rely on your equipment to take on tougher enemies. In a sense, you really do feel like a "hunter." |

Crafting items was and is lame. Yes, even lamer than Mags. And I don't know how it can be anything like PSO if you don't level up, since that's half the point of PSO.
Sega sucks. Where is PSO2? I don't think I've played a single game more than 30 hours since playing PSO, let alone the 300 hours I probably dropped on PSO (DC + GC).
I need to get back to Torchlight before Diablo 3 hits in 2012... |

| Well the core gameplay feels different, but I guess the structure and "feel" are very reminiscent of PSO. I thought not leveling was going to suck, but they really do put an emphasis on finding crap and making sweet armor. You didn't get sweet armor in PSO; it was all about the weapons. |

Not knowing anything about MH, other than what I read here about its so-called similarity to PSO, I thought I'd check out the Quicklook on GB. Maybe a minute in and I hear them say, 'if you're not familiar with MH it's kind of like PSO'. Dammit.
It's still no PSO!
Screw that. I want to be cool. I need a stick so I can fit in when I play SF or MvC. |

If you played it, you would see the similarities. It is definitely not identical to PSO. It's just...similar.
You need a stick to fit in and you know, get better. I can't believe a gamestop near me is doing a midnight launch for Super. Luckily I know the guy from working at the store down the street and he should have one for me even though I reserved it at my store. So hype. |

Similar like McDonalds is similar to Ruth's Steak House?
I love Amazon. This, no tax, free DLC costumes, and a $10 credit towards my next purchase? Hmm... Though I hate that I'm shipping out to NJ tomorrow for two weeks...

| I assume you meant I only have a PS3. What can you do. I haven't had the privilege to get my ass kicked in Super yet since I just got back home. I'm now two weeks behind and will never recover. Yeah, that's my excuse at least. |

Next week we have Prince of Persia and Alan Wake. |
