So I purchased a few iPhone games because they were available for purchase.
SMB2: As a Monkey Ball addict I had no choice. I had to get it. And it was only 5 bucks. I like this one a LOT better than the first. It's not perfect, but it's not going to be on iPhone. Looks better, controls better, plays better.
Run Run Sheep: Hmm, reminds of something. Chew Chew Radishes? No that's not it... Remember the puzzle mode of Chu Chu Rocket? That's what this game is. Not as cool as having the main game on the iPhone, but we're getting closer. And this was free.
MGS Touch: For $1 it's fun. I mean it's actually a pretty cool shooting gallery type of game, and plays fairly well on the iPhone. Not very MGS like though except it follows the MGS4 storyline. Enjoyable and glad I got it, but I'm glad I got for only a buck.
Auditorium: I'm a bit torn on this one. The game itself is awesome. It's a puzzle game where you direct streams of light to these 'boxes' that start playing music when activated. It's perfect for the iPhone and probably the best iPhone game I've played. It just pisses me off that I actually only bought the first 3rd of the game. The other 2/3 is in 3 add-on packs. Grr. Granted each part is only $1 so that in total it's $4 for the whole game. Which is easily worth it, but I REALLY don't like this tactic of selling games.... In the end though, great game experience. |

I don't think I ever mentioned Assassin's Creed 2 here. It was awesome. Just about everything in the first game got better. Hell, I actually cared about the main character this time! Also there is a Mario reference...
Zelda: Spirit Tracks was a love/hate relationship for me. The dungeons were great and the Link/Zelda mechanic worked really well. While the touch screen controls improved, it was definately not precise enough for a couple battles that shouldn't have been NEARLY as difficult. Overall the boss battles were impressive. I guess the one thing that kept me from exploring all over the place and finding as many heart containers as possible was the train stuff. Sure, you found warps here and there, but you were on the rails a LOT and the numerous little things they give you to do just isn't as fun as exploring a nice overworld.
I'd say it's better than Phantom Hourglass and definately worth picking up just for really good dungeons. |

I played a new game today. I think some of you have heard of it and played it already:
Uncharted 2
Wow. This game seriously kicks ass. I played about 2 hours just now and need a breather. And then I want to try out some of the online co-op and such.
This is why I don't have PSO (yet). Between taking over a month to open U2:AT, still playing Beatles Rock Band and Guitar Hero, finally getting Flower for $5 (yet to play though...), being lazy and playing cheap iPhone games, well I've beaten Borderlands now at least but it's so temping to keep playing since all I'm missing is the level 50 trophy... Did I mention I just got Braid finally since it's 2 bucks on Steam right now?
Why doesn't that thing update? I'm up to 180! I did get a message from theGreatThomasio on PSN just saying FINALLY! Not sure what that was in reference to... |

You may have a stalker...
I think I found your solution. Stop playing music and iphone games and you will have magically opened up your free time for some GOOD games! No need to thank me. Also I see you don't have ANY platinum trophies. What a scrub. |

To be fair, I only play iPhone games when I need a break at work. Though if I didn't waste time like that I could leave earlier... hmm. And if it wasn't for music games I wouldn't have turned on my Wii for over a year.
You don't look to have any platinum either... Borderlands I figure is my one and only chance to ever get one. They just kept showing up. Only one trophy did I go out of my way for.
Though lack of real game playing has made me soft. I played some U2 co-op on EASY and we got our ass kicked... Scares me that I'm trying to play the main game on normal:) |

I don't remember the last multiplatform game I got on PS3. Maybe Prince of Persia? Even though I play my ps3 more than all of my friends, I still find the 360 versions of games getting better scores simply for running more stable. Anyways, trophies and achievements are dumb.
You know, you could be playing a DS game during breaks instead. Just leave your DS at work. I'm sure you have some kind of desk or shelf or something. |

Your post speaks to me. Not sure I want to spend more time at work, but we do have a public (read: no security/login) wireless connection. In my appartment I have DS unfriendly WPA and broadcast G-only... Hmm.
And normally I don't care about trophies either other than it's cool to see them randomly popup as I play. But this is just too close (and easy) to pass up. |

Still can't get over the fact that you waited a month to play one of the best games on the PS3 and the GOTY award winning machine that is Uncharted 2.
Btw, anyone see that DEMON'S SOULS won Gamestop.com's GOTY award? Who'd thunk it!?!
Anyway, gots' some games for X-mas..
Katamari Forever
Socom: Confrontation with Bluetooth headset
Dragon Age: Origins
And with $120 in Gamestop gift cards I paid-off two reserves. Bayonetta and MAG. Woot. |

just got myself a DSi since my dad got me ANOTHER gps and i figure he can reimburse me for it. I was dissapointed to find out the free 1000 points promotion was over, but I did download the free flipnote studio. If for nothing else, it's awesome to see all the animations other people have made. It is NOT awesome to see all the very poorly animated furries kissing.
Gamestop only gave GOTY to Demon's Souls to spite Jeff Gerstman.
It's decent, but I'm an impatient baby and I don't know if I will ever go back.
I think I'm on the final boss of PS0 (since I died and it's currently in suspend) but I would like to go back on the harder difficulties and get the better items. It still has that draw despite the fact that I haven't played any online. After that I have one more DS game and I should be ready for Bayonetta on the 5th. |

I couldn't live without the GPS in my phone, thanks to my job occasionally sending me places I've never been. Which is part of the reason why I sat on UC2 for over a month...
I assume you both mean GameSPOT, to which I say they still exist?
Hmm, what's my GOTY? UC2? Or something else? My best game of 2009 actually from 2008 goes to Left4Dead... |

I read your last Top X Lists post and thought fine, I wonder how much Bioshock is on Steam... Turns out it's on sale today for 5 bucks. Looks like I'll be playing this.
I need to first finish UC2 (chapter 23 now! I also played an hour or two multi and co-op with thomas yesterday). I ordered Batman off Amazon yesterday since it was down to $40 (I almost got AC2, but only the 360 version was 40, wtf?). I still need to play my $2.50 Braid purchase, and when I looked up Bioshock I saw Torchlight was also $5 today. Which as a Diablo fan I had been meaning to try.
Sigh, I officially have a backlog now. |

| I had a backlog going for a while. If I stop playing PS0, I can finish that last DS game of mine so I can play Bayonetta this week. Apparently Darksiders is looking good too so that may be next. |

Bayonetta is good. If you like things that are awesome but a little corny, you will love it. If you like action games that DONT have a shit camera, you're in luck. If you think gigantic librarians are hot...you know.
It's easily a better game than Devil May Cry 4 or Ninja Gaiden 2. It's not as HARD as Ninja Gaiden, but I've definately died a bunch of times. |

I'm not really a big fan of Devil May Cry type games. I used to like them, but eh. If anything I'll wait to see how GoW3 turns out. I still have games here I need/want to play... I suck at UC2 since I've died a bunch of times too. Like over 100 (I am on chapter 25:)
Torchlight is exactly what you'd think a single player Diablo clone would be... It's simple, but fun. Having a pet is cool. Definitely worth the 5 bucks.
Played Bioshock to the point the demo ends (~15 minutes:). I still don't get why anyone would see a syringe and think, hey, I wonder what would happen if I shot up... Maybe I'm missing the point. I've somehow managed to know absolutely nothing about this game. I'll get back to this more once I beat UC2 and Batman (once it gets here). |
