F-Zero GX

A few months ago if you told me that out of Burnout 2 and F-Zero GX, one would be great and the other would just be so-so, I'd believe you.

But who would've thunk it - F-Zero the so-so game. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but it simply doesn't have that F-Zero X sense of speed.

Sure it's still fun wrecking other vehicles and (of course) being Capt. Falcon and also using my strategy of hanging around 2-4 place the entire race, then on the last lap shooting the turbos until you're about to wreck and raping the leader out of 1st place at the last possible moment while you're smoking.

The music sounds like the damn rejected tracks from the gay console versions of the Capcom vs. SNK games. F-Zero GX is above average at best, definitely should've been in my magic "I'll wait until it hits $29.99" file.

It's a step above Star Wars podracer, just sadly it's that damn close.

Damn Nintendo trusting their franchises to big name developers. It's futuristic racing with F-Zero on the box, but it's just not F-Zero, it just doesn't have that feel. Now I'm REALLY worried about Starfox...

You should be worried about Star Fox, and that has nothing to do with F-Zero (which was done by AV and StarFox is of course Namco).

I can't believe F-Zero is only slightly better then Podracer. That game wasn't good IMO. But what do I know, all futuristic racers seem the same to me. Though I have heard mixed opinions on GX.

Hmm, all this coming from the guy that said WHAT was the greatest game last year? Doesn't have that sense of speed that F-Zero X has? That is the stupidest thing since sandshrew's Rams signature. My god how can you possibly say that? The game is FASTER. With more landscape, you see things going by, giving it a greater sense of speed. With speed lines and some slight camera tricks, the sense of speed is even greater. Did you play the game long enough? Well I guess since you aren't in first place by the 2nd lap, you must not be going very fast at all. Keep at it, maybe you'll pass 1,000 kph yet!

F-Zero GX is a pile of shit next to the graphically inferior F Zero X on N64.

You can add all the special effects and textures you want, F Zero GX is F Zero X after a few drinks and soem sedatives.

Take the damn beackgrounds away, give me my speed back!

It's addictive. Monkey Ball addictive. But you'll NEVER get me to say it's better than on N64.
