I just purchased GX today and it is...good. Yes it is damn hell ass fast. It can also be damn hell ass difficult. There is a ton of stuff to unlock and some of the tracks are amazingly fun to navigate. There's nothing like bashing the crap out of and killing your rival.

I'll go into detail in another thread if I feel like someone will actually read it, but I will say this. If you played Monkey ball, you may end up getting that same feel again with F-zero GX. What am I talking about? Well for example, after you finish a grand prix, the game says "Thanks for playing" with an almost identical announcer voice in Monkey Ball. The interface is cool and unique, just like in SMB2's story mode. Unfortunately there are no songs about cooperation and super banana powers, this is an amusement vision game. With that said, every aspect of the game is better than before...although some of the early objectives and tracks just shouldn't be this difficult...

Cool. The difficulty intregues me since I cant remember the last time hard and Nintendo were said in the same sentance. I tried it quickly and it is damn fast, but again I was reminded it just isn't my type of game. Though once I get my GC back and I get desparete to get something for it, I might pick this up.

Do tracks get any more interesting? I just find them dull. Which is hard to explain since it is so fast but I just like more air, obstacles, off road shortcuts, ect in my racing games. (This is based on 1 track in GX and the ones I played in FZero X though.) Again, so far I have yet to play a futursitic racer I liked from F-Zero to Extreme G to Wipeout to Star Wars Pod Racer.

"Do tracks get any more interesting?"

The first Mute City track is the only course without something special involved. Some tracks are amazing in terms of layout and design. Others that seem simple (just a couple) have a tube or cyllinder to mix things up.

"I just like more air, obstacles, off road shortcuts, ect in my racing games..."

There are some jumps that take you over the distance of what is probably a half mile. Concerning obstacles, there are those little mines on some portions of some tracks, not to mention trees and buildings jut towards the track in certain areas. Shortcuts are there, but mainly in the form of different routes and jumping to extra parts of the track...or just jumping over an entire corner.

Well this place is so dead I need a new game to keep me busy as I await a new post. Maybe this "f-Zero" you speak of could fit the bill. That or I could just start smoking crack again... yes you heard me right. I actually stopped there for a bit... 2 weeks is a bit!

I'm broke from playing so much football the past few days...

Just when you thought it was over, hide your wallets because they're coming for more:

Mario Kart: Double Dash
Need for Speed: Underground
True Crime: Streets of LA (just buying it to support Luxoflux, Vigilante 8 pt 3 anyone?)

Why do they all have colons in the title?

When will a non-PSO game be online on Gamecube? Why am I even still hoping for ONE other online game?

I preordered Double Dash, $50.

I just dumped another $100 on ebgames.com for True Crime and NFS Underground.

Right now I'm glad Gamecube has the least amount of games, I've NEVER dropped $150 at once on games!!

Sad part is I want more!!! I've been waiting for XIII and others, some of these will be lost in the shuffle. This is OVERLOAD!!!!

Can anyone relate?

The beauty of multi-console games... everyone can play them! The only one of those I want is XIII, but I'm not leading off till I can hopefully get an xbox after christmas and get that version.

I've been planning on finding a working N64 to relive the joys of Mario 64, does that make me bad?

Yeah, buying lots of games rocks. Although it sucks that I stopped playing F-Zero GX and Viewtiful Joe before I unlocked all the good stuff. Right now I have a pretty enormous list of games to purchase, on numerous systems. Right now I think I'll work on finishing Golden Sun and Mario Kart, then I'll move into PS2 country and get some SSX3, Tony Hawk, and a crapload of older stuff.
