Can you say more updates? Like new ATHF this fall, AND a movie?! Nice. Some new shows (the pilot of Lucy was pretty good) and new anime pickups including one called Eureka seven (?) and Bleach.

-An examination of the lives of a family trying to keep its shabby Southern gentility intact in the face of a crunk-fueled Dirty South. 'Sip debuts this fall.

* Family Guy: The fast-moving series about the Griffin family continues with 17 new episodes beginning April 30 and airing throughout the year.
* Tom Goes to The Mayor: The unique partnership between bumbling bureaucrat The Mayor and self-proclaimed “idea man” Tom Peters continues in a new season of the series from Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, beginning June 4.
* The Venture Bros.: With Hank and Dean Venture presumably dead, Doc and Brock carry on as Team Venture and seek revenge on The Monarch and other villains in the second season of the series from Jackson Publick III. New episodes begin June 25.
* Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Meatwad, Frylock and Master Shake swim in their neighbor Carl’s above-ground pool and destroy things. A new season begins in September. Aqua Teen Hunger Force was created by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis.
* 12oz. Mouse: Mouse, fond of beer and firearms, unravels a conspiracy in a new season that begins in September. 12oz. Mouse was created by Matt Maiellaro.
* Squidbillies: Redneck squids scratch out a hardscrabble existence against a backdrop of brown-liquor-fueled heartache and loss in the north Georgia mountains. A new season of 14 episodes of the Williams Street series Squidbillies, from Jim Fortier and Dave Willis, begins this September.
* Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law: The winged superhero returns for a new season of jurisprudence and office politics beginning this fall. Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law was created by Michael Ouweleen and Erik Richter.

The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Movie Film for Theatres was written and produced by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis. It is based on their successful Adult Swim series. So I just watched the 1st ep of the 2nd season of Venture Bros... and I'm not sure what to think. The opening sequence was awesome, but then the show got slowly odder, and odder... Don't get me wrong, it was still a good ep. I guess I'm just shocked by the 'truth' behind the Venture brothers...

Holy shit! Good call on that one Psydd. I never came close to picking up on that. I'm so ashamed...
That death montage was great. I particularly liked it when Dean (or was it Hank) put on a cape and randomly just jumped off the roof. Nice move.
For every 15 shitty ass shows AS has (10oz mouse, Squidbillies, Perfect Hair Forever, Super Milk Chan, Inyuasha, ect. ect.) they have one great one like the Ventures that make it all worthwhile. |

Just pointing out that not only is there a new episode of Venture Bros and Robot Chicken online on AS Fix, but a new episode of Birdman! Nice. Too bad the rest pretty much sucks... wait, what's this? Pee Wee's Playhouse is online now!
I have to say, if you haven't caught on by now, Venture Bros is easily the best animated show since Futurama went off the air. It's almost like the animated version of Arrested Development. If AD was a show about a scientist and his family... |

I thought I'd just mention Venture Bros Season 2 recently came out on DVD, but I'm sure by now everyone here has already bought it. This one doesn't have as many extras (it's hard to top a bonus 14th episode and a Christmas Special), but it does have commentary on every episode and SoulBot, who so happens has more features than an Adult Swim DVD...
Can't wait for season 3, but most likely that won't be until early 08:( But at least we know it will have a season 3 (and 4!). Until then new Boondocks, ATHF, and Lucy of the Damned looked decent based on the pilot. |
