If you didn't notice the update news in WinMX, be sure to go get the new version. Some nice enhancements/changes here and there... The biggy though is multi-source downloading (like KaZaA/Grokster and others have). Such a nice feature. Really speeds up downloads. Plus if one is a jerk and leaves/disconnects you, eh, you have 3 other sources helping you out... WinMX is still king of P2P... www.winmx.com
I just hate this new trend in MP3's. To add to the crappy live tracks, 'clean' versions, and remixies. There are "fake" tracks. That just arn't right (hmm, music industry trying to sabatage people?) or were recorded off the radio. Or worse the "fake 192" MP3s. You download a high quality MP3 (because anything lower sucks) only to find it sounds like crap. Some jackass took a 64kbps MP3 that sounds like a tin can and resampled it at a higher 192kbps. Either they are being jerks, or are idiots and think that does anything besides just making a larger file size.... |

| Because WinMX is 50x better then those. WinMX doesn't install any crappy ads or spyware or BDE take over your PC crap. WinMX allows you to share MP3's over 128kbps without having to patch it... WinMX has a much better queuing feature... WinMX has more broadband users... ect, ect... |

| Any version of winMX 3+ will deny you a connection if you don't download the latest version immediately after it's released, which is why I DOWNgraded to 2.6. Um, get your ass FRANCHISED® |

With AudioGalaxy dead, WinMX is all the more the powerhouse. And having to upgrade is a small price to pay for multi-source downloads.... it takes only a minute.
KaZaA isn't bad either, as long as you only want 128kbps (yuck) files. Just don't use KaZaZ itself (huh?). Go here www.k-lite.tk to find a 'lite' (hacked) version that is the same but without all the bullshit like ads and backdoor crap and that faggy bonzi buddy... which is just a backdoor program anyways.
But WinMX should be your first choice. |

heheh backdoor. Honestly I just dont use any of these programs. With my 10 gig hard drive and bajillions of image files and programs, I really couldnt support much more.  I've made mistakes. I've done some things that I wish I could go back and change; but now I'm here and I know that I can learn from those things that I've done. -Goldfinger |
