I read on gamingid.com that the U.S. version will have what the Japanese version doesn't: three hidden characters from the original SC - Hwang, Rock, and Lizardman (all three I love)

Hwang wasn't in it already? Man, SC2 came THIS close to sucking... Rock and Lizardman I could care less about. I wonder who else is in it... or isn't in it as the case my be.

yea duh! Hwang wasn't in SC2 at all including home versions of the game in japan. Hwang was replaced by a similar character, Yunsung. Yunsung is alot like Hwang but is a little more kick oriented.

Pfft, Hwang is for button mashers. Take him out, I say, along with that bitch Maxi. Its all about Kilik, Ivy, and Voldo anyway... Although, Talim/Talon/whatever looks pretty sweet.

I use Kilik as a support character to my one/two combo of Ivy and Voldo if I'm playing a team game of three or more.

I agree. klam what the fuck? Kilik's one of the cheapest fuckers on SC.

Which reminds me, on the SC2 demo am I the only one that noticed that the weapons had some collision deection problems. Astaroth was hitting me without his weapon touching me, making things worse than they already were!

First off, I noticed no collision detection problems.

Secondly I'll be the first to admit that Maxi used to be one of my main characters. Though after a few months I pretty much dropped him to focus on my other characters...2 of which were Kilik and Hwang. Honestly, people can call almost anyone in SC2 a button mashing character. It all depends on how you use them. Though I may be ashamed for using Maxi at one point, I still think Kilik and Yunsung are fine candidates in SC2. I was excited about Hwang being unlockable last week, but after using Yunsung, it's not that big a deal. He seems to play better but I'll have to see how the new Hwang plays before making any decisions.

Oh by the way, at work today I saw some kid playing the SC2 demo and he used TWO moves the entire time (as Nightmare). The horizontal slash and the 360 horizontal slash. This is pretty much just pressing one button the entire time. He did extremely well. I almost went over there and challenged him.

..and that, my friend is why I refuted everyone's claims of SC being the best 3d fighter ever when it was released. All you need is 1-2 cheap moves and/or the edge of the ring and you can't lose!

The fighting system is deep if you use it. Defeating the AI may be easy but when 2 seasons vets go at it in some SC, the brilliant engine is revealed. I don't find as much entertainment in executing combos in Tekken, though I did enjoy the time I spent with Virtua Fighter 4. 3 I didn't like so much...

playing against someone who doesn't know how to play all you really need is 1-2 cheap moves but play with someone who knows how to play and its awesome.

SC has an amazing fighting engine, one of the best i've played in a long time. I have to admit though, i thought the Virtual Fighter engine was slightly more engaging but that goes by opinion.

Oh, and i used to be a Maxi whore too :b

Sometimes...on certain difficult extra missions...you just had to cave and use Maxi...
