Anyways, I say get a GBA SP if you're really that interested. The biggest aspect of GB is its portability. The GBA Player lacks this. It's more of a way to play at home the games you enjoy on the road. Otherwise you might as well get a GBA emu and play on your PC...

Yeah, I remember Psydd, lol. Yes, I also own a Super Game Boy, a SNES, and a Gamecube. The thing is though, I collect videogames, systems, etc., thats why im trying to figure out what I want. Im not really into Emu's or ROMS anymore,well that is until we get our new PC. Then I might start downloading hard-to-find and expensive snes games I want. I will prolly' more than likely get the Player and SP. Just depends on how much the firework stands nets me in pay.

Reasons to get GBA Player: Play on a big screen to save on eye straighn. Costs half as much as a SP. Can play in the comfort of your own home where you will be saved from the ridicule of your peers.

Reasons to get GBA SP: Portable and that's the whole point afterall. You can use it to unlock "features" in various GC games from Metroid to the Tingle Tuner. Nintendo makes more money off the SP and god knows Nintendo needs ever penny they can get these days so your support is welcome.

And if I'm not mistaken you can't "hook-up" the GBA Player to the GC to unlock stuff like you could with a real GBA... and WTF? Just look at the damned map to see where to go next dumbass.

Well, Ive decided to get both!!! Ohhhh! The Gameboy Player for when im at home and want to play my Castlevania fix, and a SP so when im reading with my family/my dad on a business trip[cause they can be sooooo boring sometimes, damn country music ].

Well I'll definately be getting the Gameboy Player next week. Hell, I sold my GBA THIS week. I dont think I'll be needing any of that connectivity jazz until Final Fantasy comes out, which I think I will be picking up. This leads me to my next point. I'll be getting an SP later this year. I'll either wait for the new black one coming out in September or find a way to get that sweet black and red Boktai special edition one. I'm going to need it for a couple GBA/GC games and my class schedule this coming semester is less than accomodating. Playing games between classes could be the answer. I laugh at the ones trying to beat their high score in "snake" or "match game."

About the GC/GBA Connection thing i just saw the commecial for the player on TV and it has the port from the GBA on the from of it...what else would it be used for? i Hardly think its there for a shark Light...Maybe you can play 4 swords with a buddy one on my SP and another on the GB player...
