I would say it's kind of like a deeper Max Payne set in the Matrix universe.

Part 1 WAS better, but not effects wise. The story was so fresh and new and cool. This time it wasnt as fresh but it showed Zion (and that...ok i wont say more because ill spoil the movie). Anyway on to the game:

PS2 version: at one point in the game, everything goes black and it wont come back on. We took in 2 at gamestop today already.

GC version: the slowdown (bullet time if you will) apparently gets sketchy and glitches up. I havent heard any customer complaints on this yet.

Xbox version: As far was I and my coworkers know, nothing major is wrong with this version yet.

PC version: You...cant stop walking. You just cant stop. You walk and cant stop. Im sure a patch will come out really soon for this though.

So in conclusion, try to stay away from the PS2 version. The GC version should be fine because a guy was talking about how cool the Matrix was on GC and didnt have any complaints. The Xbox version should be fine and PC, well Id wait on that one. Other than that, it should be good and i want to try it out.

As long as we've got a 4th player at the end of the day,
I've got this feeling every game is gonna turn out to be ok.

Reloaded kicked ass. But there is a point about the 'freshness'. The beginning with the mysterious 'What is the Martix' and the realization of what it was just can't be topped. No matter what crazy things came up. Though the special effects are taken up 10 notches.

But I agree it is one long movie. I mean Lord of the Rings is basically one long movie (since its one long book), but this is even more so practically. Especially after seeing 2... Thank god 3 is only a few months away.

Reloaded kicked what? We are talking about the movie right? It was okay and i do believe i will like it better the second time around yet i havent went to see it a second time for some odd reason. The effects were cool, but nothing that blew me away. The best scene was the neo vs agents tons of agents fight wich near the ends gets incredibly noticble cgi heavy though i still liked it. As for most of the other movie. The first hour or so of crap zion footage basically ruined the whole movie for me. I mean alot of that zion rave party and love making and other lollywaggin could have been left out. I must say in all i was dissapointed, but the thought of Return of the King eases any of my movie watching pain.

It was a good movie for what it set out to be. An action movie with something a little bit thicker than the standard "one man against terrorists out to save the world, his girl, and the president" fare. As long as you go into the theatre without any pre-drawn conclusions, you should enjoy yourself.

P.S. The Zion scene sucked ass.

Why do people care about the Zion scene so much... it added a lot to the story imho and it was awesome to finally see exactly what everyone was fighting for. And the rave scene... only lasted a few minutes, most people are blowing it up to be some 30 minute softcore porn scene.

ETM is an awesome game. I have it on PS2 and my disc is fine. Ive also played it on XBox, no probs there either. I just wish there was multiplayer aside from the lame ass fighting mode.

I care, because the movie was moving at a really nice pace, and then BAM, Keanu ass. I understand the need to show the spirit of humanity and togetherness, but they could have trimmed it down by a few minutes. I still liked the movie, but I just feel that the one scene was way too long.

I like the eerie concept of the Matrix storyline. I also understand that the brothers wanted to show the audience what the human city is really like. I know at the end of the first movie I thought to myself...so wait, what about the human city? Unfortunately the rave scene was really lame and the military leader guy served as merely a speed bump as opposed to having any real purpose. The effects were good enough to make the movie good. The actual story progression didnt seem to really go anywhere. If you think about it, this is the entire storyline of The Matrix Reloaded:

-some ship went down and delivered a message
-Neo is having nightmares
-The ship is coming back home
-Neo is worshipped
-Zion is where we dance!
-Machines are digging
-Neo must fulfill his duties
-get the key
-some people die while trying to shut down a power plant
-talk to architect
-Neo makes the wrong decision
-Save Trinity!
-I can feel them...Die bad robots! DIE! (with a cool dry wit like that I can be an action hero...)
-Zion was destroyed. Crazy Smith agent man is only one left!
-Rage Against the Machine sings about crazy stuff
-Whoa

You must remember Matrix set the bar for FX that EVERY action flic (heck, even TV) has since then copied. So Martix 2 has to compete not only with itself, but everything else! Still, I though there were some sweet scenes so I was happy. Just maybe a few could of been shorter (the opening and the 100-Smith Battle).

I don't get this anti-rave scene sediment either. I thought that scene was awesome. Sure I could of done without the Trinity-Neo parts, but the actual party helped humanize the movie. It was a nice breather before the 'war'. And was just cool.

Bah, there was more to the story then that. Those I guess are the main plot points though. But just saying 'meeting the archetect' skips a LOT of important points. Who says Neo made the wrong decsion? Who says he made any decesion at all? You don't really think they arn't in the Matrix anymore?

I do think the 2 faces of Matrix (the mainstream kick ass special fx and action scenes side; and the hardcore/nerd porn sci-fi philosphy of Matrix side) were sparated too much. Making each side stand out too much as separate things. Alienating those who like one side over the other.

But I can't say I was disapointed. Bring on Revolutions! (The preview looked like it will be more action packed.) ...and bring on Return of the King!
