OK, the tournament should start this coming Thursday. Email will be sent out naming the pools and other information you will need. If you havnt't read the rules and such, make sure you do so ( they can be found in NOG on the site nbrid.net ).

The following are those who I know are signed-up:

sandshrew
LowLIFE
Nobody7
dragonboy
KingGMX
VampMan2K1
iCeFLaSH
ConnDestn
wildboy
BoneStormer
chrisgolf

If you're not on this list, sign-up now! The more the merrier! Invite your friends!

Also, I have received many requests for a Quake 3 Arena tournament (already). So who here plans on getting this game? And would you like to see a tournament soon after its release (say a week after)?

Yeah, we hope to have way more than one. I was just wondering how soon people were getting the game, and then how soon they would want a Q3A tourney... which you gave answers to.

When I said Thursday, I meant that's when it would 'officially' start. When you play the actual games is up to you (and your opponent). Confused? Make sure to read the NFL2K1 info on NbridNet ( nbrid.tripod.com/nfl2k1tourney.htm ).

Better start practicing now.... hehe.

Players will be split up into 2 pools of teams (well it might be 3, but it doesn't matter how many there are). Think of these kinda like the devisions in the NFL. For example, in Pool 1 say there are the players named Red, Blue, Green, and Black. Each will play everyone else in their devision. So each player will play 3 games for Round 1 in this example (i.e. Red will play Blue, Green, and Black).

Ok, Wednesday you will get an email saying who is in each pool. Along with the emails for everyone involved listed, it will list all the games to be played and have "suggested" times to play it. If you can't play then, fine, you don't have to.

For any specific game you are listed as the 'Home' team, you must email your opponent for that game (the 'Visitor') with the time you want to play. Do so as soon as you get the email! This means you should have to email 1 or 2 other players depending on how many games you are listed as 'Home'. Tell them which, if any, of the suggested times you can play. They will in turn email you back saying, fine or give another time. Do this until you agree on a time. (It usually isn't as hard as you might think.) So make sure to check your email often while this tournament is going on.

You will be given about a week to complete this. If everyone finishes early, great!, we will move onto round 2 early.

If you need ANY help with setting up times to play. Use this board, or email me at: bone@nbrid.net

I hope this helps, a little...

After each and every game, the winner will come to these very NOG boards, and post the scores in the spot made for scores. It's on the honor system in a way, but I'm sure no one would try to cheat the system.
