Official News on MGS: Twin Snakes!!!

Ok, here's what ive read so far...Silicon Knights are the ones developing it, and that "Graphically, the game is supposed to mirror the jump in quality that the Resident Evil remake saw". Wow! Since this is the first Metal Gear on a Nintendo console since the NES Days, its pose' to be pushed pretty big at e3 and what not....Metal gear solid! YES!

It's very good to know it is a totally new MGS. And to add on that it seems both Hideo Kojima AND Shigeru Miyamoto are 'involved' in it's development.

BUT (yeah, yeah) how ever much I like SK, WTF? Why isn't Konami doing it (I guess did we really believe they would make a game for GC that didn't have Mickey in it)? I said it before but I did NOT want MGS on GC to be developed by Nintendo in any way. I'll wait and see I guess... just on it's face while many may think it's great SK and Shiggy are involved so much, I don't like it.

It's a fucking REMAKE!!! AHHH!!! Screw that! "Twin Snakes" because it's a combination of the first two games (ha! and just after a certain someone said that was wrong...). If this is the best Nintendo can muster, remakes of old PSX games, WHAT THE FUCKING HELL!!! {note to self: calm down!}

Oh well... whatever.... next....

Well there you have it. Miyamoto's interpretation of a "new game" is different than everyone else's in this world. I read this news last night but never got to posting it. At first when I read the info, I thought to myself, why would Silicon Knights be working on a remake of the classic NES game? Then I read it again and realized it is a remake of the original metal gear SOLID. Well that changes everything. Of course Konami would never let Silicon Knights make a NEW installment into the series. Just a REmake. Now this isn't a remake of MGS2, but it's close enough, so if you excuse me, Im going to eat my goddamned hat. I really liked that hat

And here I was thinking MGS *could* be a nice 3rd party game for GC. Not only is it 'just' another remake, but it's not even a 3rd party game, it's from Nintendo's own SK! I hope N doesn't make the mistake this could be a system seller like they did with RE...

Well with that disapointing news out of the way... MGS3 will be shown at E3 (in movie form). No word on what console(s) it will be on.
