Yeah, my friend Russ and I watch together every week, and we called Marie as the one making the business transactions... The thing is though, the president's wifr thing came out of left feild. We figured that since they were setting her up to be the asshole (ala Mason last season) they wouldn't go with the obvious choice, so we had the secretary fingred as the turncoat... Although her motives seem to be more personal than actually intent on the bomb going off.
I would have LOVED to see a hunter/hunted scenario with Nina and Jack, but there still are FIFTEEN episodes left. Which is nuts, because last year at episode nine they were just comming around to Kim being kidnapped.
Oh yeah, minor notes... That black guy that Marie shot was badASS! Almeda is gonna get some. Oh, and they SHOWED the body of the guy that sied (sp) killed last week, which was overtly grotesque.

Yes 24 keeps it's long running (1 year) tradition of plot twist after plot twist. When I first saw Ms. Palmer, I assumed she was up to no good. When the reporter was released, I still thought that she had something to do with it. Only today did I think that maybe she really is being nice and WAMMO, she's on the inside. You have to use a special kind of logic while watching this show. Most shows try to achieve the old "expect the unexpected" approach, but 24 goes one step further by making the turncoat an obvious choice turned definate good guy, turned psycho-maniac fako.
As for Marie. Well the idea was always there, but I didn't have anything to go on until I found out that her family went to Saudi Arabia 2 years ago. Then when she went to the house, I thought to myself, because of the stupid commercial, that she was the only one that could pull the trigger.
Oh and Nina getting picked off by a sniper? That had to happen. I don't see how it couldn't have. One last thing though...What DID Jack whisper to Nina? That was creepy. |

Well you can see the light more then people around here who still think she has nothing to do with anything... just to spite me.
I was disappointed Marie killed those two off... And what IS the deal with Tony and that girl suddenly hooking up? Hmm. Better yet what IS the deal with that whole side-story with Jack's daughter? Now I'm just annoyed by her.
And Nina was sure creeped out... "You won't live to see the sunrise"? Nina and Jack are sure to have a major showdown. Maybe once they find the bomb we will hear more about all the background noise that keeps popping up...

Wait bone, is that really what Jack said to Nina or just an educated guess?
You know...if the villian is a religious guy that prays a lot...he can't be THAT bad...It's not like terrorists are motivated by religious promises or anything. |

YAY! 24 is back after a 3 week hiatus. Good show (duh), but I don't think there was any new revolation or anything (well besides cuttie Marrie becoming a slut). Just playing out a few past stories and passing info around to all the major players. WTF is with Jack's daughter? That is really going to hell. She going to get mauled by a "big cat". Lame...
Also, the whole real time thing seems to be having a few liberties taken with it. It seemed at most 5 minutes between when Palmer asked that guy to "interigate" the NSA guy and when you saw him electricuting him. Now that's some fast turnaround.

Well the NSA guy was already in the waiting room when Palmer asked the CIA guy to do the torturing. Plus I think they're at camp David so that discussion could have gone down just outside of the building. 5 minutes seems reasonable enough a time for him to get to the torturin.
As for Kim. I just want her to die. She has no significance in this season thus far and it's her fault that her boyfriend died or almost died. The bobcat/whatever was lame and I didn't like it.
The guy on fire was cool. |

Maybe.... I guess they did want to "interigate" NSA ASAP. And it still wasn't as fast as that girl in the 1st or 2nd ep ever of 24 who they drugged yet within 3 minutes had regained conciousness.
You know Kim won't die... but I agree I think deep down we all hope she does.
Mason damn well better go out with a bang. No getting stabbed in the back from a standin or in a hospital bed from radiation posioning/
Guys on fire are always cool. Just ask Wax.
Almeda is a pussy.
It's a damn shame Marrie has to die. No matter what color her hair is.
