"You want my prediction for the next generation? I have 2. First I think the Dolphin will play catch up to the PS2 like the SNES did to Genesis. Dreamcast will be there for the hardcore gamers and have some awesome online games once in a while, but never take #1 or #2. Xbox will be the underdog and compete directly with the PS2 in the beginning, but end up with games that mostly appeal to Pc gamers. The Japanese, American, Canadian, and European markets will split and by the end of 2002, we will all be completely surprised. Gaming will have been revolutionized on all fronts on each system...well all PS2 has going for it is early support and all those USB ports. Dolphin will be the most revolutionary console to date with it's controller, Online innovations, GBA hook up, and mind blowing exclusive games. Xbox will be push graphics to new limits and have the best internet browser on a console. So what I am saying is that there will not be a true winner this time around. It may last longer than your average 5 year period, that's for sure.
Oh my second prediction? Nuon will win hands down. "
This qoute was said by.....Hybrid! Oh my! Lets see what came true, 2 yrs later.
The Dreamcast is ONLY for the those Hardcore gamers who think SEGA "won" the console war during the saturn/psone/n64 saga. Wait, I still play my DC, but Of course, almost every game for it is a capcom fighter.
The Xbox as underdog, well they have been trying hard lately, and who knows about that one. There getting alotta SEGA support and wot not.
Gaming Revolutionized? Hmmm, its move ahead a LITTLE, but not that much, still way to many sequels. But Sequels Sell.
The Gamecube being the most revolutionized console to date? I wish! It sure is different though, the size, the controller, the disc, and some of the games look very awesome though.
XboX graphics to the limits? Yes, thats true. Many ppl said at e3, they had some amazing graphics [project ego, PD:Orta] that the other two have yet to come to, in terms of graphics.
Xbox live does have some potential..
The true winner at the moment seems is ps2. with over 30million consoles shipped, they have a advantage, and the only system that will last over 5 yrs right now is the Gamecube. [well most likely.]
ANyways, I gotta go eat some breakfast, later!
