Yup, Jones is still there. He's no longer a starter, but he came in as a sub early in the second half and was a KEY factor in the US controlling the ball enough to hold off Portugal down the stretch....

Only an hour more to waste before USA-Korea begins! I hope there arn't any riots when Korea loses... unlike in Moscow when Russia lost... so sad....

Havn't checked recently, but I heard it was a possibility that Cobi would start in todays game.........

I still dont get how Korea can consider the game as revenge for some Olympic short track race they lost to the US....

I think they said he was like 37-38... but he was da man today! Saved US's ass in the game. I mean stopping the PK was just one of those great saves. Going in I was just hoping for the tie seeing as how Korea was at home with 65,000 fans and so a ref not giving the US anything, but it feels unsettling nonetheless. Maybe it's the fact Korea dominated that 2nd half. Friedel made sure all Korea got was the tie though. Korea couldn't finish anything all game...

Well bring on Poland! Most likly just a tie in that game will advance the US...

Yes US should be able to take care of Poland. Poland lost today to Portugal 4-0 so is out of it. Poland isn't nearly as fast as Korea nor nearly as good as Portugal.... Portugal looked just OK against Poland.... until about the 60th minute and they took over. They look quite good now.... If they can stay on that role and destroy Korea (who I'm sure will have a let down after such a huge US game) then US might not even need a win.... but hopefully it won't come to that... Poland has yet to score.... sad...

France should of tried that... I mean wow... the defending champs couldn't even score one fuckin goal? That is pathetic... they deserve to go home early...

The Germany-Camroon match was hillarious. That ref was sooo card happy. 10 in the first half and I think like 16-17 total? Wow.... Germany won to move on to the 2nd round, but all those damn yellow cards got a few players suspended for the next game... Grrr......

Wowzers... going into the Cup the 3 teams batted about as the favorites were Agrentina, France, and Italy. The top two favorites didn't even get out of the first round, and now hometown Korea ousted Italy in OT. Sweet...

Now with the quarterfinals set no wonder it has such shockers as Senegal, USA, and to some extent Korea and Turkey still going. If Korea can beat Spain and USA beats Germany we'll have our rematch....

Now with Italy gone, the England-Brazil game looms all the larger...
