I just stepped down from doing the webmaster job because I was sick of having to do it... especially when others oddly decided to make their own site instead of maybe trying to rethink the current one...
But I digress... From what I can tell no one is willing (or stupid enough:) to take over NBrid.net as its webmaster. But at the same time people didn't want to see it go... and after talking with a few people I really don't either (before I didn't care one way or another).
So while I still have no desire what-so-ever to be its webmaster, a suggestion was made to me. Maybe redo the site as more of a weblog style so that members could post articles/reviews/news whatever whenever however they wanted and it would be up as soon as they post it. Therefore requireing no webmaster/editor to do the work. It could work as a nice companion piece to the General Board (which is trying to become more of the focus of NBrid). But a nicer way to still have reviews and such rather then posting them in General.
Anyone think this might be an idea? To turn the site into that? Since NiceWebs has MySQL it shouldn't be hard to find a script to do it. It would require changing the site though, majorly simplifing it. To make it easy basically take the same graphics and rearrange it to fit our needs. I'd have no problems doing it. I've already had someone willing to help me if this path is taken....
Just an idea since I don't see a point to re-register nbrid.net just as a link to General. But this might be....

Yeah sure, sounds like a good idea. I never said i wanted to abandon NBrid but i wanted a site that had content you probably wouldnt see on NBrid so I couldnt just completely change it altogether. Once submissions got really low and down to nothing, then you quitting as webmaster, I didnt have the will to become webmaster myself (what with the new site coming up). I think this ideas works fine but Im not quite sure what will happen with the graphics.
