Yes Bone I will most likely own all 3. If Fever wasnt just *decent* this year I would own all 3 on XBox now. I already have NFL2K2 on DC and XBox(completely different games), and Madden on XBox, I also had it on PS2.
My view is, I will most likely be playing Fever online for the leagues that I will be in, maybe NFL2K3 also. Unless Madden goes online, in which case screw Fever. However if Madden is offline only, I will indeed by the first two for online play and Madden for offline play, because as usual Madden will be the deepest.
GCN... fortunatly, no I do not own one. But I know quite a few people that do, and I have played alot of the games for it. My view on that is there is NO reason period to own a GCN unless you are an extreme Nintendo fan. Honestly wtf else is there? Granted there are alot of good sports games on it, as well as Burnout and Spider-Man, both awesome games. But those are all on every console. Theres one game I am liking on GCN, that is Home Run King. But it is not worth almost $300 to me. It is my opinion that a 6 year old can beat 99% of Nintendo games. They do not hold my attention for long at all. So, those aside all thats left are ports, which come out superior on XBox so until the gods at Rare come by and wow me I'll pass.
Test Drive 4 is one of my all time fav racers. Hard as hell and lots of cars/tracks. 6 sucked on DC because of the floaty physics they added but it was good on PSX. I wasnt too big a fan of LeMans. The difficulty was not that high and why place such a big emphasis on realism as far as track layouts configuration and car models only to have arcadey physics and control? Hmm, I didn't think any of those sports titles were gonna be online on any console. Any lists of online games for this year I didn't see any sports games listed. But who knows. I didn't pay attention since I'm not a big fan of playing sports games online.
I disagree about your assertion that GC is only for Nintendo fans.... I'm a big Nintendo fan and yet even I don't think it's worth it. Maybe after this fall it will be for N fans, but certainly not yet.....
I don't even want to know where you are going with that statement about 6 year olds being able to beat GC games.... Let's quickly move past that one......
I can stick with PS2. Neither GC nor Xbox impress me so let's hope PS2 can deliever the goods.... |

NFL2K3 and Fever are both officially going to be online. NFL2K3 is a sure for XBox, Sega is not sure whether or not the PS2 version will be online because Sony is taking their sweet ass time with the network details.

| Eternal Darkness,Socom,Star Fox Adventures,pso 2,Mario(if its makes it out this year) zelda(ditto),Goldensun 2,the new contra announced for ps2,and of course,FF11. the Xbox aint got nothing that interests me,and probably never will,unless hell freezes over and a Square game appears. Im not really a big fan of "sim" type sports games (i like arcadey stuff like NBA street instead) and the Xbox's pay to play online business model makes me want to vomit. |
