Ok what are these rumors I hear about people "leaving" NBrid because it's no fun anymore? Well NBrid is in a slump and some petty people just have nothing better to say then bash on what others do (which needs to change).... but it's not dead and hope for the future did exist... However, if these rumors are true of a defection, I just don't know about the future of NBrid at all anymore...
Some people just feel like moving on. Some seem to be starting new projects. And that's cool, but kinda hard and pointless to keep this here going. Unless someone else steps up to the plate to pick up any slack... but it wouldn't be the same.
In short, NBrid was slowly dying but many didn't see it or didn't want to see it. I tried to not so subtlly do something to reverse this trend.... but after initial hopes, the original trend has continued.....

In short, it was just dishartning to hear that someone might leave because of certain members. THAT is very bothersome to me. "Moving on" for other reasons (like that sad 5 reader point) would be understandable. As part of the "Good Ol Days" card, NBrid would pull out the "We're not a Clan" card. Which states one reason we're not one is because there arn't any BS politics and bickering going on underneath it... And quite obviously this card was torn up and thrown away... And that's a shame................ That's partly why the NBrid community is dead right now....
Not like I didn't take those card shreds and burn them... That Klams Killa Interview never should have been added. The whole point seems to be leading up to one question that was totally uncalled for considering the situation. My mistake on missing the boat on that one... Might have to pull it....... Then again only 5 people say it so doesn't really matter....
I went on VX a sec last night and there was no one there. #nbrid was dead. Not even registered. Even their "big" #chatzone was practically empty. While I'd still rather see these boards take off, that chatroom issue needs to be delt with. Especially if people are banned (stupid Jared, thinks he's cool cause he lost weight only eating Subway).

| Seems like I have been blamed for some of this so I felt it nessessary to respond. NBrid was once fun, now bullshit seems to have strangled it. People can come on these boards and whine over the details all you want, fact of the matter is things have changed. NBrid used to be about having a good time in chat, making friends, and submitting fun articles to the site. Seems like I am the only person around here who has at least in some way, tried to keep that mentality alive. Sure I BS around but it seems nowadays people are too damned uptight to take a joke. Klam comes on here saying I am the reason he isnt on chat, this is without a doubt the biggest pile of @#%$ I have been witness to in a LONG time. Now if my silly arguments are too much for you then please accept my most humble apologies. Now we move on to my Klams Killa interview which was, now say this with me, a "joke". A funny one to many. People around here used to laugh at stupid jokes, nowadays all we do is sit around and bitch and moan about them. This is the problem with NBrid, not the server, the problem with NBrid is that we have all becomed too damned uptight. Hy cares only about the site and really doesnt give a damn about the people anymore, as I was shown when Bone showed me some of his comments he made in pm. This site is what killed NBrid and make no mistake, NBrid IS dying. The fun factor left when so much emphasise was placed on the site. It went from doing a silly article when you felt like it to constantly badgering people for stuff. You want NBrid to be fun again? To last beyond the next 2 months? Quit being so hard on people. Let NBrid go back to being a relaxed and fun atmosphere. But the more I think about it the harder it becomes for me to see a way out. People are always coming to me telling me there distaste with how things are run so I say post here and say your problems. Be truthful and dont spread all this stupid @#%$ like "He called me a punk" and etc etc. Saving NBrid is gonna take a lot of hard work and EVERYONE has to participate and contrary to what some may think I do care about NBrid, I have put a year of my life into and dont want to see it go down like this but if we dont work together that most certainly will happen. That is my 2 cents. |

No one is meant to be singled out, but in light of things around here do you really think saying "I think we all want to know your answer to, is Klam gay or is he just a dumbass?" won't be taken the wrong way? Even in the world of make-believe we call the internet, stuff like that isn't called for. When the SOLE reason for saying it isn't to be funny but rather to piss someone off....
That and comments like "Don't worry I'll still do NBrid" as the upper brass works on other things isn't very encouraging.... especially when it's not a single instance....

| hmmm.Well being a seasoned veteran,I kinda gree with wade that I had more fun when Nbrid wss centered around chat,but lets face it the golden chat days are gone and nothins bringin em back.Late night staurday conversatiosna bout legos and the themse song to spitfire has gone.However,I dont agree with the fact that Hy doesnt care about the people anymore.Now there was a period when I got kinda suspicious of Hy for doin that,but my past few visits to #nbrid when Hy and klam were there have been pretty good.And wade,stuff like the Fan Fic posts my PunchNPie(thumbs up bone) and the Mega Man interview were funny I laughed,but wiritn a big interview to diss klam isnt really worh it. http://www.geocities.com/darkdynastyd2/greendaysig.htm |

| I have to set a few things straight. #1 my comments about Hy were based not only on my simple observations but majorly, as I stated in my original post, on excerpts of conversations Bone showed me between himself and Hy in pm in which Hy said in plain english he was tired of people talking to him about the site and how he was tired of listening to others comments about it. Now we go again with the Klams Killa interview. First off it was done in FULL humor. 2ndly the whole thing WASNT about Klam. Go back and read it and you will see he was only the subject of one new question, reproduced earlier by Bone. Originally that interview wasnt even going to go up. With all the @#%$ I told Hy to just not put it up, he wanted to put it up hence it is there. Seems to me that as much as people go on about it few people really care whether this place goes down. |

Ill first adress the Klam's killa interview. I thought it was just bad writing. Besides the fact that it was merely intended to mock klam (in order to get laughs, hence the fuckin definition of comedy @#%$) it was just not a good article. Dont go saying that I WANTED to put it up, bone posted it and i guess i dont blame him because at the time there really wasnt much besides that. End of discussion. As for "Straight Outta the @#%$," can you possibly tell me that the fact that ANOTHER article happens to focus on klam is just a coincidence or your cooky little hidden innuendo that ooh klam is gay and making people hate him makes me funny. That article was worse than the one before it and I just decided to delete it today because quite frankly, your articles are part of what is killing NBrid. Some have been funny, like green said but I like to keep a decent level of quality on the site and this is just pathetic. Dont go saying "jeeze guys its a JOKE, get over it." Nah, its not that simple when not only is the joke unfunny, the writing is bad, and it mocks the best member we have; but the whole thing is just done in bad taste.
But this isn't what got me a little steamed, alright pissed. How DARE you say I dont care about the members? You view yourself as the devine rebel leader of NBrid who wants to lead his followers away from the pure evil (me). Jesus, NBrid was centered around chat at first, at first i had to handle the sign-ups and interviews personally, Ive obviously recruited more members than anyone, and ive gotten to know every member that goes on chat personally; but i have never had to tell someone off like I have to now. To think i actually felt a little guilty when i deleted your "@#%$" article. You quite blatantly blamed the decline of NBrid based on my dictatorial like leadership over NBrid. I think NBrid has a VERY lenient system in which almost everything goes up in order to let people express themselves. If they dont WANT to express themselves, fine, but dont say im discouraging you. If you think about every article you did, the only times i had to step in before an article was published was when you stopped the retro column that you were SUPPOSED to be doing. You used NBrid as your own opportunity to publish your nonsense articles. While some of them may have been good, they were definately not column material. You have NO idea how much planning went into keeping NBrid 6 organized and we cant just throw anything around. Blah I could go on and on about how off base you are in everything you say about me. But how about this, you name ANY member thats been a regular in NBrid chat and i can tell you who they are and what they're like. NBrid may not be the community some of us want it to be, but this isn't IGN-Lite here.
BTW, before you reply, dont say anything about how i need to take a joke, lighten up, or stop being an ass. The sheer fact that you are somehow still in NBrid should make you realize how tolerant i really am.  Senses dull now staring at the wall

| only 5 readers huh? hehe looks like some bad times over here! well let me say this guys,make that 6 readers godammit! ive been hooked on Klams articles and reviews ever since ULtima 1st told me about this site,and if someones gonna leave it shouldnt be klam,cause i ALWAYS read what hes got to say (that is if its about videogames ill read it) hes one of the best writers here and hes a fuckin asset to Nbrid if you ask me. BTW is ol ULT still a member of this cl..i mean "internet group''? |

heh we sadly had to give ult the boot for fact that he never did anything for the site, was rarely seen on chat, and you could count his message boards post on one hand. I had nothing against him personally but he took his "layoff" a little too personal. I wonder where good ol ult is today. Senses dull now staring at the wall
