Well my argument isn't void... my point that no sites say XBox will have 56k was my argument to that XBox doesn't come with it. (That Nvedia thing was just to point out that your's wasn't valid... I never heard of Nvedia making a network card for PC but I don't follow every little thing so I didn't know).

As for patents, as we all know when company's apply for one they throw everything but the kitchen sink in them to cover their ass. So if the patent says that, it means nothing. If you have a hard time finding a site that says XBox has 56k built in... shouldn't that tell you something?:)

No becuase that wasn't my statement. Companies apply for patents on products they create. You can't say we're going to make this later so just in case, you have to have detailed layout specifications. The patent was for the ethernet controller card which also can function as a modem. Not some magic fairy dust.

Could you not use ethernet to connet with a pc then connect on-line with that pc w/o ever haveing to phisicly use it?

Like use the pc, as a router for the system connected to it? Yes, just would need some NAT application (winproxy wingate etc)
